A while back I wrote about a small company called “Predixion software” founded by ex “Analysis team” Microsoft employees. Their product enables the Excel user to analyze data in Excel using the power of the cloud.
It seems Microsoft is now on the verge of something similar but for Excel and Azure. Microsoft Research is calling it “Excel Datascope”.
